Meet my ohana ☆ Mahou no Monsters !

I've decided to let my eyebrows grow out.

Really not what this post is about at all, but you know, I've been without them for at least five years now, so it's a little bit huge for me and it deserves a very big mention. That said, moving on.

Let me introduce you to:
Insert some enthusiastic standing ovations right about here.

It's the name we came up with for our group. In the beginning we thought of it like a gyaru circle, but for street fashion. Things changed a little bit as we planned though, but what the heck, it turned out a lot better.

Hello, nice to meet you.

This is actually one of the best things that have happened to me in 2013. We've been talking about starting this project for almost a year, but we've all been too busy for different reasons, so it just didn't happen immediately. But a couple of weeks back, we decided to just go for it, and contact a convention, asking them if they could make some space for our first appearance as a group: A street fashion panel, with a Q & A at the end.

That's sort of what this whole project is about - sharing and spreading our love for street fashion with people that are curious, and taking them to the dark or bright side, depending on what kind of fashion they like.

Our panel, photoshoots, collaborations with clothing brands, clothes-swap picnics and other events are all things we have in mind, for the future.

Can't tell you how nice it is to have this thing started.

We actually contacted the convention just to have a reason to kick our own butts. I took it upon myself to design a logo and a tumblr page, several weeks back, and I if I could make a PowerPoint as well, since I just have a part time job and no school to get to yet. So I sort of named myself web captain iro.

Of course I ended up spending several hours looking and saving and crying over pictures for the Visual Kei part of the presentation because, because. Otherwise I worked quite quickly. Anyway!

We all looked through it together, made some changes, and quickly put together a little picture to throw on tumblr. Done and ready for ConFusion! Our first panel was a great success, especially for being completely new and kind of announced and advertised last minute. And by that I mean literally like two days before. Not great planning on our part. We actually rehearsed just once, thirty minutes before getting on stage. My MacBook had 5% battery, Jözz was still in her bishounen Code Geass cosplay mode, Emilia was freaking out, squeaking that she wasn't going to go through with the panel and almost crying because thought she'd lost a bag with a Metamorphose necklace, Clara appeared out of nowhere and started hopping around in her underwear changing clothes, while I was killing my hand trying to write us all some notes to go with.

Thinking about it, it's actually kind of a miracle things turned out great, despite bad planning.

A lot of improvisation and adrenaline, always does the trick.

We were really happy to see so many people in the audience. I know we've all written this a million times, but thank you so much for coming. It meant a lot to us!

Have some love:

Then next, just this Friday, we dragged the 156 pin badges Pastelbat has been sewing by hand for the past few months, homemade headbands and devil horns, some headbands I made, pretty much our combined bodyweight in stuff, basically, to the Japanloppis in Hallonbergen.

Here's Jözz and just a small piece of all the crap we put on that table. Glorious.

Maybe not the same thing as the panel, no. But also a lot of fun! And insanely crowded. And loud. Most of all really, really warm. You know it's serious business when even I get warm enough to cry because I'm pretty much a walking ice cube, normally.

Thank you for coming and saying hello - =͟͟͞͞ ( ꒪౪꒪)ฅ✧

We'll be sure to keep updating about where we'll go next. You can keep up with us on our tumblr riiiight about → here !

Now as usual, this post is getting kind of long, so just one more thing. I have to mention our mascot.
Let me quickly tell you the whole story behind it. As you may or may not know, I'm kind of a big fan of mr. Ramsay. Slightly obsessed with his different cooking shows and recipes and whatnot, which I apparently am not good at hiding. So, on my birthday, my girlfriend got me the best gift I have ever gotten; A golden frame with a picture of Gordon Ramsay with a halo and angelwings.

Since my birthday was October 24 and we were leaving for the convention October 25, I kind of immediately decided that I'd start bringing this glorious creation with me on my future trips, and take pictures of him to document where I've been. When I showed him to the others, he just became our mascot in the matter of two seconds.

He even matched the wallpapers in my hotelroom. Pretty neat.
Thank you Nellie, you're a beautiful genius. ( ♥ ).

To wrap this up, these are my best friends ya'll. I'm so happy to have them in my life, and I have so much to thank them for. Doing this with them is really a source of happiness. So I'm looking forward to see what the future has to hold. I'm sure it will be awesome because they're awesome.

Oh, the cheesiness.

Goodnight / morning sugarpies!
Over and out.

Life lately

Feels like my life has gone from a constant existential anxiety attack to a completely messed up cloud of happiness and a bright future at the blink of an eye. Not even exaggerating.

Now time for confession hour. To be honest, since last time I thought I was getting back on my feet, once again I haven't been very good for a long time. I just haven't felt like sharing too much online, and I've chosen to always try to focus on the positive instead of the negative. But even so, all of it has really been too much. I've been away from school for over a year, when trying to work out a plan to get back to studying all I've been met with is "sorry, we can't help you if you need home studies, we don't take lazy students" kind of. Well, they didn't actually say lazy, but that's how it felt.

I hate it when people say that, think that. I'm not lazy. In fact quite the opposite. It's just hard to explain with words better than "I have no strength left" and that makes it difficult for people to understand the situation.

Hence why I've chosen not to talk too much about it.

What happened is that I "hit the wall" so to speak. I'm a perfectionist and I always have been. I needed to have the best grades, needed to constantly do great things, make my parents proud, be skinny, be liked, work on my personality, not be so awkward, be better than I could be. I got sick, I got better, I realized just how extremely neurotic I was and how bad it was making me feel, bipolar, realized just how tired I was getting. I just couldn't take it. Then suddenly I found myself unable to get off the bus one morning, and since then it's been a long road back to being able to get off that bus.

I have talked about this before, I know. Writing this to refresh my own memory.

But! Now to the less depressing part;
Guess who's starting school in January?

The meetings I've had with my old schools have had me crying and leaving the room within ten minutes, so when we contacted another school, I was expecting the same thing. But me and my wonderfully awkward dad who was trying to support me by telling me "imagine you're stabbing your old bullies and the headmaster, I do that when on the train to work in the morning, makes me feel strong" went in there, and thirty minutes later I had signed up for four classes starting in January.

Swedish B part 1 and 2, Japanese B, Religion.
Let's fucking do this shit, pardon my rude excitement.

This is how I feel right now: (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

I'm so, so grateful I actually got the oppurtunity to take the time to recover properly and get back on my feet. Let's hope it stays that way. Last year, when I switched to a new school and program for the first time, I was rushing it and taking decisions without being ready for them. It obviously ended badly. But this time, I really think I'm ready. Positive, positive!

A lot of other exciting things have happened as well, I met my lovely Nellie, ConFusion, finally launhed the project me and my besties have been too busy to get going for way too long, but I'll write more about it later.

If you want a sneak peek, go say hello to my street style group and ohana: Mahou no monsters.

I just really wanted to share this before anything else, because the stones that have been lifted off my shoulders were so huge, they're worth a post of their own. So here it is. And I think it's about enough yapping now!

A cheesy quote to end this post;
As long as you don't give up completely, it'll all work out and be worth it in the end.

And here's a look from the other day because I look quite happy and posts are more fun with pictures. And maybe "life lately" makes sense with "well here's how I've looked lately" ?

Goodnight lovely people ♥♪

P.S. I don't have spell-check on this computer so I do apologize for English screw-ups I might have missed in all this spontaneous writing.

Winter is coming

"In Sweden, winter is coming is a real thing" is something I've said many times.

Sad but true.

If you've followed my endless rants on Twitter, or basically any other websites I'm a part of, since last winter, you've probably already noticed what a bitter, whiny, pathetic little mess of a human I turn into when winter strikes. I'm not fun to be around. I'm-on-my-period-mood from November to March. Like all other swedes.

We don't exist during the winters, that's how bad it is.
Then summer comes and we're all happily drinking snaps and going to IKEA with Zlatan t-shirts and meatballs in our hair again, until winter comes again, and our bodies are replaced with grey, tired zombies that hate everything and everyone.

I'm not looking forward to this please save me I don't want to okay.
Anyway!

The fear of what's coming aside, it's time to start pretending that putting up a fight against the cold is worth a shot, and therefore I've been hunting for some winter armor. Thought I'd share with you what I've found!

If all goes well and I'm able to order these tomorrow, they'll be miiine.
So, say hello to my new friends:

Woolen coat is from Sheinside, baby uggies from Chromehearts.

Okay, yes, time to admit something embarrassing that my friends have given me a lot of odd stares for: I'm a closet Ugg and Crocs lover. And, I don't understand people who doesn't love them. They're the most comfortable things in this universe. Like walking on frikkin' clouds of cotton candy and happiness.

My name is Saga and I own a pair of pink crocs and soon I will also have a pair of Uggs.

"Hello Saga"
"First step towards recovery is admitting you have a problem"

Glad to get that off my chest. Moving on. I went with all black, wool and furry lining, hoping that I'll look all "cute" while hopefully still being warm. Super simple things, but I like simple. I've never been much for clothes with many, many details. I like it on others, but on me it's too much. I always feel like a Christmas tree with too many things on. So. This is just about right. Going to live in these, and top it all off with the Hufflepuff scarf my girlfriend Nellie gave me completely out of the blue ♪ (she's the best).

This must be very interesting to read... I'm just quite excited!
Been wearing my beloved SEX POT ReVeNGe jacket for two years now, it'll be nice with a change.

Whether my plan to fight the Swedish winter will work or not is another question.
I apologize in advance for all the whining you'll have to put up with.

Good night ladies and gentlemen, enjoy your autumn while it lasts!
Here's a little outfit-of-the-day to end this post:

Street snap favorites #1

First of all, here's a little source-shoutout;
All credit for the images in this post goes to one of my favorite things in the world - TokyoFashion. You can find them here on, on TokyoFashion.com, and on tumblr! I believe they're on Instagram as well. They're worth a follow everywhere you can find them.

Second of all;

As you may or may not know, my biggest source of inspiration comes from street snaps - Harajuku street snaps, most of the time.

All the fabulous people. I highly recommend it. It's a great way to get ideas! And it really makes me get all excited about sudden light bulb-outfits and then I end up making a mess in my room, pulling clothes out of my closet and throwing them on the floor to play with them for hours.

So here's a little compilation of my recent favorites!
Let's start with these black and white, yet somehow colorful, ladies:

Though I might not wear many things similar to the two pictures above this little caption,
I still find them very inspirational in their "striking playfulness", to use some fancy language.
Weird patterns and matching colors, tattoo tights, loose pants.

I like this one because it's creative in it's simplicity.
I love wearing this type of color scheme as well. Black, white, and a color to break it off! Chokers, pigtails and platforms is never not wrong either.

Ah, layers.

Do I even need a caption, uhm, I think not, Minori is just gorgeous.

This is probably my favorite out of the whole bunch.
I pretty much love everything about this outfit, and I'll try to make my own version of it,
because when I stumbled upon it on my tumblr dashboard, I almost made a weird squeaky sound. Again, creative in it's simplicity.

It doesn't have to be so complicated all the time.
Less is more, like people say when they're being smart.

∙ ∙ ∙

That's about it for this time! This has to be the shortest post I've ever written (amount-of-text-wise). For once I have no more word-vomit to share with you all. So let's wrap it up before Friday, shall we? Ten minutes to midnight here in Sweden.

I should really sleep.
I always blog when I should be sleeping.
Why.

Goodnight darlings, have a great weekend ♡

irodohieru x NerikoDono style swap !

First of all, I look fucking evil on the first picture here. Pardon my French.
My face does not do gyaru very well.

The light wasn't the best either, hence why it's taken me so long to edit the pictures.
I apologize for the still quite poor quality!

Second of all, that would be my girl Nellie, @NerikoDono, and me - yes, the forever alone, single cat-lady has gotten herself something other than a cat and a cup of tea. Well she's not really a "something", she's a very lovely human that I obviously like a whole lot (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) Anyway.

We decided to swap styles. As you can see!

Since Nellie's done street fashion before, and I've never ever even thought about putting on thigh-high boots and a flowery dress, it started off as a "I wonder how you would look all gyaru-fied" / "I need to put you in a flowery dress" kind of idea. I was really sceptical, remembering how stiff and awkward I felt when ms. Pastelbat turned me into a sweet lolita and put a pony necklace around my neck. I don't think I need to say more. This was really different though.

I actually... liked it?
I never thought I'd say this, but this almost made me want to get myself material for some gyaru outfits. Dresses in particular. With flowers.

Who would have thought?
New goal in life: try on every single style there is and see what happens.

I'm really tired now, I hardly know what I'm writing, so it's probably time for sleep! I just have to add something quickly though, something exciting is going to happen in October. No, it's not my birthday, even if that is also rather exciting. It's something else! I can't say more than that for now, so I'll leave it for the future. Crossing my fingers and hoping everything goes according to the plans, so I can share it with you!

Ah, cliffhangers.
Good night my little ducklings ♥

Lite saker som vill ha nya hem!

So I have some good and bad news for you, dear followers.

Good news: I have a ton of clothes for sale!
Bad news: I will be keeping it within Sweden.

Reason? Right now I don't want to handle payments via PayPal, and I won't be able to offer refunds to overseas customers / offer to send items again for free to overseas customers, if something goes wrong and the parcel gets sent back to me. Just recently I had a problem with an order getting lost, and because I couldn't replace it, I think it's only fair for both parts. That has not happened before, but before I've properly gotten the store back in business and can offer refunds again, I don't want to send orders overseas, just as a precaution.

I am planning to sell more headbands soon, and then I will of course take orders from overseas customers again. This is only temporary.

So! I'm sorry, but this time it'll be Sweden only. And therefore I am now going to switch to Swedish:

Hej!

Twin circle lens review ☆ GEO Xtra Wt-A52 Blue x Vassen Lucky Clover Cocoro Violet

So it is time for another review, sponsored by CandyLens.com (no surprise there) ! I've realized how terrible my past reviews have been, so I'll keep this twin review shorter and easier to read.

That said, I should probably follow my own words and get right down to business.
Ladies and gentlemen, circle lens number one!

GEO XTRA WT-A52 BLUE
21,90 USD, 15 mm, 12 months

In my last post I swore to stop being sickly positive about things, but I love these lenses so much I kind of have to be sickly positive. They're huge, blend in super well with my old Swedish grey eyes, and by far the most comfortable lenses ever. I'm a very pleased girl. Could wear them for at least 7 hours the first time I tried them, before my eyes started to feel a little bit tired, but I think my heavy makeup was the most tiring thing they had to deal with that day.

Design: 9/10 - I wish they had been a little more blue.
Comfort: 10/10
Price: 8/10 - worth it.

23,90 USD, 14,5 mm, 12 months

I took a risk when I picked these lenses, since there was no way to tell how they would look on my eyes. The images on the product's page was not very helpful at all, so that's a minus. But I figured they'd go well with my bright eyes, and they did! I think these types of lenses go much better with light eyes than with dark eyes. Love the color to death. Sadly, they're not as comfortable as the blue ones. But they're still more comfortable than other lenses I've worn.

Design: 9/10 - 15mm would have been a 10!
Comfort: 7/10
Price: 7/10

Both lenses came with an individual cute little case, no coupon code needed. I believe that's a violet elephant-case and a macron-case with a swedish vibe going on. I got a note from the staff in the mail as well, and they even checked up to make sure I'd gotten everything on time! The whole from-website-to-door-process was smooth and the confirmation e-mails very clear and non-confusing as well. A+ for niceness and customer service.

There were a lot of lenses and brands to find on the site as well, so go have a look, won't ya!

∙ ∙ ❀ ∙ ∙

Thank you for this time CandyLens.com!

Now I might spit out another post later tonight, which will make this day quite historical, considering I'm not a blogger who throws things online every other second. But I have a resumé to update and e-mails to send out as well. So we'll see. What the future holds.

Not sure what I'm writing.
Ignore me and have a lovely evening, dear reader!
